SaveTheEnvironment.com - Environmental links, information, and activism.  The site includes a blog, directory of green links, and a discussion board.

Comments:

The site provides an example of a philosophy we call a "living document," meaning it is constantly evolving and maintained, over a period of days, weeks, months, and years.  The site has more than two hundred fifty pages so far and is still growing.

The blog and homepage are updated frequently to give this site an air of freshness.

The linking campaign featuring a directory of green products and services is actively maintained as part of our SEO (search engine optimization) plan.

The primary website is hosted as part of the developer solution Linux at Web.com.  I have hosted many websites thru web.com over the last ten years, and have found them to be very reliable.

The site features an opt-in mailing list created thru an account with Constant Contact.  Adding a mailing list to your site can be critical to driving traffic and staying in touch with your target audience.

The discussion board is an open-source application that utilizes a customizable templet system hosted as a subdomain on a separate linux-based server.  It utilizes a templet that allow us to incorporate design elements such as customized graphics and a navigation header for seamless integration into our overall site.

When we don't have a client to work for, we don't like to waste time.  There are several new sections, including articles and content in development with the goal of illuminating and providing free access to information on topics such as global warming as well as environmentally-friendly product reviews.  You are invited to visit and bookmark the site for future reference.

Southern Water Gardens Inc - Serving Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Cary, and the RTP with fish ponds, water falls, fountain installation and maintenance.

Comments:

This website is an informational brochure website relying heavily on photographic content provided by the client.  Services include water fountain, water fall, and fish pond installation and maintenance.

The pond systems this company installs are "Living Water Systems." Along with the beauty and tranquility they provide, they are top quality eco-systems, featuring biological filtration that supports both plants, and fish.

The water gardens are custom designs created from natural stone, custom designed to maximize the beauty of the space you have available in both commercial and residential settings.

Raleigh Neurosurgical - one of the largest private Neurosurgical group practices in the Raleigh area.

Comments:

I was outsourced to build this website thru the IT company First Service.  As part of the process, I was interviewed first by personnel at First Service, the company in charge of the project, and later by personnel at the clinic itself.  During the question and answer sessions that followed, I was in charge of interpreting their wishes for the site into the design you see today.

The primary purpose of the site is to serve as an informational brochure about the clinic for prospective patients, providing them with information about the doctors, procedures, office locations, as well as to provide them with the documentation and forms they need prior to their first visit.

Comments:

Written more than 10 years ago, at the time this website was the first site I had ever written.  Sitting in the dive shop as a part time employee in the winter time, I noticed while surfing the web that the company website could not be found very easily on search engines such as Google.  I became interested in educating myself on how this process works, and things took off from there.  I rewrote the company site and began promoting it on the search engines.

Optimized for the phrase "Myrtle beach scuba" and variations thereof, this website has been findable at number one on google almost every day for over ten consecutive years now, resulting in many thousands of eyeballs finding and viewing the site.

If you are a company featuring nature or outdoor adventures, or a business in need of a new website or a redesign of your old site, please initiate contact with me.  I would love to write a modern, up-to-date website for you.
